B-Linear Hotel @LASSA Architects

Foinikounta, Greece

Located next to a natural reserve on the southwestern tip of the Peloponnese, this hotel has been conceived with particular attention to its environmental performance and culinary considerations composed exclusively of locally sourced products.

The project blends with the landscape, using terrain as vertical circulation to connect all three floors. All floors are offered a majestic view of the sea. Opting for a row of rooms rather than separate bungalows significantly reduces carbon emissions. The building envelope curves to define a courtyard in its center where guests can socialize poolside, although more intimate spaces for relaxing are also provided inside. From the courtyard, the garden seamlessly extends to the roof which is strategically shaded with a lightweight twisting canopy.
